We design with the land's living systems in mind — improving soil structure, supporting pollinators, and selecting plants that strengthen the local ecology rather than strain it. A healthy garden gives back as much as it receives.
Landscape Design Studio
Solis Day designs enduring outdoor spaces — gardens, courtyards, and grounds that sit gently in their place and deepen with time.
“A garden is not a finished thing. It is a conversation between a place and the people who tend it — our work is to begin that conversation well.”
Founded on a family legacy passed from father to daughters, Solis Day is now a sister-run landscape design studio led by licensed Landscape Designer Lacie Peralta.
We design with the land's living systems in mind — improving soil structure, supporting pollinators, and selecting plants that strengthen the local ecology rather than strain it. A healthy garden gives back as much as it receives.
Beauty in a landscape is earned through proportion, material honesty, and the unhurried accumulation of patina. We seek the kind of quiet elegance that deepens with each season rather than dazzles on the day it opens.
Outdoor spaces are where people gather, linger, and reconnect. Every design considers how a garden invites use — shaded spots for conversation, open ground for children, and thresholds that welcome neighbours and guests alike.
We work with climate, not against it. Water-wise planting, permeable surfaces, and materials sourced close to the site reduce ongoing impact. Our goal is a garden that thrives on what rain and sun provide, long after we have handed over the key.
A beautiful space that does not work for its owners is unfinished. We map movement, storage, drainage, and seasonal use from the very first sketch, so the finished landscape feels effortless to inhabit and straightforward to maintain.
We take on a small number of commissions each year. Tell us a little about your site and what you hope it might become.
